Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Remindo is made by XVERGE LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the website getremindo.com and the Remindo device. You can reach us at hello@getremindo.com.

2. This website

What we collect

• Your email address, when you submit the "Save my spot" form.
• The time you signed up and your country. The country is estimated by our hosting provider from your connection. We do not store your IP address with your signup.
• Your name, email and the billing details Stripe asks for (such as country and postal code), if you pay the $1 reservation. Stripe handles the payment and shows us only your card brand and last four digits. We never see your full card number.
• Anything you write to us when you email us.

What we use it for

• To email you about Remindo's launch and tell you when you can order.
• To send $1 reservation holders their private $79 link on launch day, and to refund the $1 if we don't launch or can't ship to them.
• To understand roughly where interest in Remindo comes from.
• To answer your questions.

Every launch email includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to remove your email at any time.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. We don't track visitors over time or across other websites, and we don't let other companies do so on this site, so there is nothing for a browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to turn off. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

3. The Remindo device

Remindo is not on sale yet. This section describes how the device is designed to handle information. We will update it before the first devices ship.

• Listening. Remindo listens only after someone presses Talk or holds Announce. There is no wake word, no background listening and no camera.
• Talk. When you press Talk, your voice is sent to our AI provider to understand your request. We do not keep voice recordings; our provider deletes them under its data policy. We do not use your voice to identify who is speaking or to create voiceprints.
• Announce. When you hold Announce, your voice is sent live to the other Remindos in your group and played there. It is not saved.
• What Remindo saves. The reminder text, date, time and family label, along with AI-generated audio used to read the reminder aloud. These are stored on the device and on our cloud servers so the Remindos in your group stay in sync.
• Family labels. These are names you choose to organize reminders. They are not accounts or profiles.
• Device and network information. Technical information needed to connect your device, sync the Remindos in your group (in one home or several) and keep the service running.
• Your group. Everyone with a Remindo in your group can see the group's reminders and notes and hear its Announce messages.

We use this information only to provide and improve the reminder service.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information or share it for personalized advertising. We share it only with companies that help us run Remindo, and only as needed for that work:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and stores the signup list. Like any host, it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
• Stripe, which processes the $1 reservation and refunds on its own checkout page, under its own privacy policy.
• An email service, to send launch emails.
• AI and cloud service providers, to turn speech into reminders, generate spoken audio, store reminder data for the device, and pass Announce audio between the Remindos in your group.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or if XVERGE LLC is part of a merger or sale. In that case this policy continues to apply to your information.

5. How long we keep it

• Signup emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for the launch.
• $1 reservation payments: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Voice: we don't keep Talk recordings; our AI provider deletes them under its data policy. Announce audio is not saved.
• Reminders: until you delete them or reset your Remindo. Backup copies are overwritten on the backup schedule.

6. Your choices

• Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email.
• Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@getremindo.com. We reply within 45 days.
• On the device, delete reminders, history or family labels, or reset Remindo.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We honor those requests the same way, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

7. Children

This website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.

Remindo is a family device, and children may use it with a parent's permission. When a child uses Talk, Remindo collects the child's voice and what the child says, such as a reminder, note or countdown. We use the recording only to turn the child's words into text, and we don't keep it. When a child uses Announce, the child's voice is played live on the group's Remindos and is not saved. The reminder text is kept like any other reminder until a parent deletes it or resets Remindo. We share it only with the service providers in section 4, only to run Remindo, and never for advertising. A parent can review or delete a child's reminders on the device at any time, or write to us to ask what we hold or to stop further collection. We will add full details for parents before devices ship.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit and limit access to the people and services that need it. No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Where information is processed

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

10. If you're in the UK, EU or EEA

XVERGE LLC is the controller of your information. We use your email to send launch news because you asked us to (your consent), and we use your name and email for the $1 reservation to provide what you paid for (our contract with you). You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing. We also use your country, estimated from your connection, to see where interest comes from (our legitimate interest in planning where to ship).

You have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO). Write to hello@getremindo.com and we'll reply within one month.

Your information is processed in the United States. Where the law requires, our providers use approved safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
